S1 Basic

The S1 Basic is a compact entry-level system for the industrial post-processing of additively manufactured parts, specifically designed for applications based on powder bed fusion technologies such as SLS, MJF, HSS, and SAF.

Following the typical 2-in-1 approach of AM Solutions, the system combines cleaning and surface finishing within a single integrated process using only one type of abrasive media. This creates a continuous, reproducible workflow without the need for media or system changes.

The system is designed for smaller build volumes and therefore optimized for small to medium-sized components. It can be operated either manually or in automated mode. In automated operation, the maximum part size is 100 × 100 × 100 mm (W × D × H). In manual operation, parts with dimensions of up to 350 × 200 × 200 mm (W × D × H) can be processed.

The S1 Basic is consistently engineered for fast commissioning through plug-and-play functionality and highly intuitive operation. It offers a high degree of flexibility for a wide range of production requirements, both in industrial manufacturing environments and in laboratory or R&D applications.

The S1 Basic also stands out through its excellent accessibility and large viewing window, significantly simplifying maintenance, monitoring, and operation during ongoing production. An integrated abrasive media conditioning system enables efficient separation of used abrasive media and powder residues. This ensures consistently high media quality, which in turn supports a clean process and reproducibly high-quality results.

To reduce powder adhesion on parts and within the process chamber, the system is equipped with an antistatic spray unit. In addition, an industrial filtration system designed in accordance with common industry standards ensures a clean and safe process environment.
